The short version
Your text never leaves your browser. We do not track you across the web. We do not require accounts or collect email addresses. We display ads and disclose them plainly.
What data we collect
Text you enter into tools
Every tool on Wordshed processes your text entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never sent to our servers, stored in any database, or transmitted to any third party. When you close the page, it is gone.
If a future tool ever requires server-side processing, that tool's page will state so explicitly before you use it.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally. We do not use Google Analytics.
Advertising
Wordshed displays advertisements through Google AdSense (and may use other ad networks in the future). These ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings.
Our ad placement rules are strict: maximum two ad units per page, never above the tool, never between the tool input and output. Details are on our How We Make Money page.
Affiliate links
Some tool pages include affiliate links to relevant products and services. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every affiliate link is clearly marked on the page where it appears.
Cookies
Wordshed itself sets one optional cookie: your dark/light theme preference, stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie sent to servers). Ad networks may set their own cookies as described above.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare: Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process minimal connection data (IP address, etc.) as part of delivering pages to your browser. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense: Ads served on this site may use cookies for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
Wordshed does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site's tools are general-purpose utilities that do not require or request personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will add a notice to the site.
