How Wordshed Makes Money

Every tool on Wordshed is free. No subscriptions, no premium tiers, no paywalls. Here is how we keep it running.

Advertising

Wordshed displays ads on tool pages. Ads are our primary source of revenue. We have strict rules about how they appear:

  • Maximum two ad units per page.
  • Ads never appear above the tool.
  • Ads never appear between a tool's input and its output.
  • No pop-ups, no interstitials, no autoplay video ads.
  • No sticky bars that cover the tool you came to use.
  • No fake close buttons or any other deceptive element.

If an ad unit slows down the page noticeably, we remove it. Your experience with the tool comes first.

Affiliate links

Some tool pages recommend products or services that are genuinely relevant to the task at hand. For example, a readability tool might mention writing apps that help improve readability. If you click one of those links and buy something, we earn a small commission. You pay the same price either way.

Our rules for affiliate links:

  • Every affiliate link is clearly marked where it appears.
  • We only recommend things that are topically relevant to the tool on that page.
  • We do not insert affiliate links into every page just to maximize placements.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data. We do not have your data to sell.
  • We do not gate tools behind email signups or accounts.
  • We do not show guilt modals if you use an ad blocker.
  • We do not use exit-intent popups or confirmshaming.
  • We do not use any dark patterns of any kind.

Why be transparent about this

Most tool sites make money the same way we do — ads and affiliate links — but few explain it plainly. We think you deserve to know. If you find our tools useful and want to support the site, the best thing you can do is bookmark it and come back next time you need a quick text tool.
